Standardizing the Interface between Visual Languages for Shared Workspace Systems and User or Domain Models
نویسندگان
چکیده
Shared workspace systems using graph-structured visual languages are well-suited as tools for collaborative learning. We suggest a generic framework in which the specific language syntax can be defined by knowledgeable end users. Also the interface to a domain-specific interpreter can be standardized to a certain extent, thus facilitating the automatic generation of expert advice. The same architecture can also be used to plug in student models.

Intelligently Supported Collaborative Learning Environments based on Visual Languages: A Generic Approach
An increasing number of collaborative learning environments is based on shared workspace systems using twodimensional graph-structured visual representations such as argumentation networks and concept maps. We propose an integrated framework that allows for flexibly specifying a wide range of visual languages and plugging in components for operational semantics, adequate feedback and intelligen...

متن کاملAnalyzing User Activity and Group Interaction in Shared Workspaces
In recent years, shared workspace systems have been an active area of research and development in computer-supported collaborative learning. A particular type of shared workspace systems provides graph-oriented visual representations for synchronous interaction, which are well suited for co-constructive activities. This type of systems is used in face-to-face settings as well as in distant sett...
متن کاملA Desktop Design for Synchronous Collaboration
This paper presents a novel graphics user interface for desktop management of a synchronous groupware client. The interface is part of the Rutgers University DISCIPLE framework that enables sharing of applications. The interface presents an individual view of a collaboration space that contains collaboration artifacts, collaborators, their groupings and relationships. The conceptual model of th...

Introduction: The e-prescribing system is one of the basic technologies in the health system structure which was developed with the aim of properly managing healthcare resources and services, preventing common manual prescribing errors, and increasing patient safety. Given that the user interface of e-prescribing system is considered as the main factor of user acceptance, the purpose of the pre...
